Last year, I was a mentee at the Hyperledger Summer Internship program, hosted by Hyperledger and the Linux Foundation.
Here, I share with you some of the processes. A trick for applying is to build up some skills and to investigate the topic of the internship beforehand, if possible.
Showing enthusiasm, and a sense of mission also helps. After applying, I got to know my mentor, David Huseby. Dave explained what he expected from the now realized blockchain course:
Enterprise Blockchain Technologies (https://github.com/hyperledger-labs/university-course).
The program was nicely paced, with my course being delivered in four phases. …

You will need to look into blockchain interoperability.

Three main categories of solutions to connect chains exist: Public Connectors (previously known as Cryptocurrency-directed approaches); Blockchain of Blockchains (previously known as Blockchain Engines); Hybrid Connectors (previously known as Blockchain Connectors).

This table summarizes it all. In green, public connectors are “strategies across public blockchains supporting cryptocurrencies, including sidechain approaches, notary schemes, and hash time hashlocks”. These include sidechains, notaries, and HLTCs. Interoperability techniques across public blockchains are well-known and widely used.

“Blockchain of Blockchains are frameworks that provide reusable data, network, consensus, incentive, and contract layers for the creation of application-specific blockchains (customized blockchains) that interoperate between each other…

After nearly 9 months of work, version 3 of “A Survey on Blockchain Interoperability: Past, Present, and Future Trends” is out. This survey depicts the state of blockchain interoperability as of March 2021, by collecting and analyzing 404 documents.

Three main categories of solutions exist Public Connectors (previously known as Cryptocurrency-directed approaches); Blockchain of Blockchains (previously known as Blockchain Engines); Hybrid Connectors (previously known as Blockchain Connectors).

Next, we will show a brief summary of the paper. Note that the full paper also contains:

👉 Blockchain Interoperability Framework (BIF), allowing to classify and systematically compare existing solutions

👉 Comprehensive background…

With the advancement of technologies such as Blockchain, efforts for the development of token-based payment systems are now being taken seriously by governments, enterprises, and even individuals, namely creating global digital currencies and central bank digital currencies [1].

In a previous article [2], I elaborate on some of the dangers of a global cryptocurrency managed by private enterprises, namely Libra; now, Libra has rebranded to “Diem,” a name given after an independent group organized by Facebook to manage efforts on the digitization of currencies. …

A university course was recently launched, focusing on Fabric v2.2Enterprise Blockchain Technologies is a flexible, extensible, open-source university course, part of Hyperledger Labs🎓

This course aims at providing a reliable basis for university students to get started in enterprise blockchain.

This course contains the practical part of a university course on enterprise blockchain technologies.

At the end of this course, I will:

✅ Understand theory on blockchain: what is it

✅ Get to know Hyperledeger Fabric’s components in detail, such as architecture and transactional model, chaincode network, and how to develop an enterprise full-stack blockchain decentralized application

✅ Understand advanced concepts on the area of consensus, using…

JusticeChain ⛓️ was one of our contributions to the 🇵🇹 (Portuguese) government.

This work focus on the auditability of information systems at the public administration. On such systems, end-users perform actions that leave digital traces. Such traces are recorded and stored in log files (or audit logs), which are analyzed when needed.

JusticeChain proposes using blockchain technology to make the storage of access logs more resilient while supporting such a multi-stakeholder scenario, in which different entities have different access rights to data.

Why the need for this expensive technology? In the case of the Portuguese Judicial system, there are several…

…Necessarily. Today I would like to express some ideas and leave you with the concept of blockchain view.

In business process management, there is a concept called a view. A view is a representation of a business process from a certain user (or stakeholder) perspective. Thus, the same business process can have several views. Does it mean that one is right and others are wrong? No. It just means that they represent different perspectives. To make this easier to understand, let us understand what is a business process:

“A business process (BP) is a collection of activities (or tasks), representing…
